Paul L. Jacobsen, MD joined the clinic in 1989, after completing the residency program at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont in Burlington. Once a teacher and clergyman, he graduated in 1985 from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Dr. Jacobsen is Board-certified in Neurology and has special training in the diagnosis and treatment of Sleep Disorders. His professional interests are Ultrasonography, Evoked Potentials and EEG's.
…moreWilliam S. Herzberg, MD came to this clinic in 1994 and is the Medical Director of our Sleep Disorders Center. He obtained his medical degree in 1989 from The Stanford School of Medicine in Palo Alto, California. He also went on to complete his residency in Neurology as well as a fellowship in Sleep Medicine. Dr. Herzberg obtained additional fellowship training in Neuromuscular and Neurophysiology at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. He is Board-certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology and Sleep Medicine and has served as a Clinical Associate Professor at Oregon Health Sciences University.

She received her medical degree from The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 1983. In 1988, she finished a residency in Neurology at the University of Chicago, and then completed fellowship training in Electroencephalography and Evoked Potentials at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Dietrich is Board-certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, as well as Sleep Medicine. She has also co-authored articles. Her professional interests are Epilepsy, Sleep Medicine and women's issues pertaining to Neurological disorders.

Dr. Borland completed an internship at Lansing General Hospital and finished a residency in Internal Medicine at Doctor's Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He also completed a residency in Neurology at The Ohio State University. Dr. Borland was in solo practice for eleven years in Columbus, Ohio and he completed a subspecialty fellowship in Stroke and Neurointensive Care at Emory University. He is Board-certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology and is the Medical Director of the Stroke program at Southwest Washington Medical Center.

Dr. Veech completed his residency in Neurology at the Boston Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at Mass General Hospital. Dr. Veech is Board Eligible in Neurology and Interventional Pain Management. Professional interests include pain procedures. Dr. Veech had been serving as staff physician in anesthesia/pain at Grove Schuur Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa, and had also secured a one-year pain research grant to work as a consultant at the Red Cross Children's Hospital in Cape Town, treating burn victims and those with HIV and end-stage AIDS.
…moreElena Robinson, MD is a neurologist who has a special interest and experience in treatment of headaches and neuropathic pain. She received her medical degree from the University of Washington, where she also completed a residency in Neurology and a fellowship in Pain Management. During her training, she participated in research and gained experience in headache management working at hospitals in London, England; and St. Petersburg, Russia. Dr. Robinson performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for treatment of chronic pain problems. She is particularly interested in treatment of intractable headaches using implantable neurostimulators for symptom control and has a commitment to clinical research. She completed a certificate program in clinical research at the University of Washington.
